Art Glass Ornaments
Virginia Wilson Toccalino creates lovely handblown Filigree and Ribbon Glass Icicles and Holiday Canes along with an assortment of handblown glass balls and sculptural whimsical pieces. Some of these art glass ornaments are made using ancient techniques developed in the Italian Venetian lagoon on the island of Murano in the year 1526. Friendship balls are very collectible and available in a multitude of styles and patterns. Many styles use filigree and overlay cane techniques. The Ribbon and Filigree Icicles and Candy Canes are gorgeous examples of this technique. All are personally handmade by Virginia and Tony at their glassblowing studio in Halton Hills, Ontario Canada in the Greater Toronto area.
